The not so much Talent, Talent Show

This was one of the highlights of the Thanksgiving weekend for me. We had to participate in the talent show. Even though our family is not very talented except an elite few I think we all had fun making fools of ourselves. The talents included: Singing, dancing, karate, saxaphone playing, comedy, angry birds, poetry, double jointed tricks, and copying a skit from SNL. We better keep this a new tradition as well. I have lots of pics, I need to figure out how to make a collage of pictures. Is that how you spell "collage"?

Gobble Games

It was the first biannual Gobble Games. The games included: search for candy in leaf pile, pumpkin bowlinig, crandberry run, sock flour throw, and an award ceremony. The kids did pretty well in the games but the true CHAMP was Dane. He wouldn't even try hard and hit the bulls eye or knock down all the pins in bowling. I think he even beat some adults at the sock flour throw (throw a sock full of flour at a black poster board that has a bulls eye). Hopefully this new tradition will carry on and get better throughout the years.

I think this is why Dane won everything- He was like Chuck Norris

Perfect Thanksgiving

Geez I feel like Thanksgiving was so long ago! We had so much fun being all together as a family. The food was wonderful and the comapany even greater. It was perfect, I'm grateful for them and our wonderful relationships.

Drumroll Please...

It's a GIRL! Tomorrow I will be at 19 weeks and she is a whomping 1/2 pound and will double in size in the next 4 weeks. I feel like the time has gone by so fast. I'm starting to get nervous, especially after being around Channing who is 5 weeks. But I'm also excited because now I get to shop.
Other great news:
~We are buying that home!! We close on the 20th which is way too close to Christmas for me but we're so excited.
~Finals week is next week which means no more more pencils, no more books, no more teachers dirty looks.
~Brody is switching his work schedule to mornings which will start on the 10th. We're both happy about that, it works great with his school, new baby, and we'll be able to see eachother more.

Where have I been?

No where. Just thinking for the past few weeks on what to post.
Since I've got nothin, I'll post about the bebe. Here are some random thoughts:

I've gained a few LBS. And when I say a few my doctor mentioned I must be doing good for gaining X amount of pounds... Um was that a jab? A hint that I'm doing a little too well? PSShhh whatevs Doc. my pants still fit.

On a better note, we were hopefully going to be able to find out the sex 2 weeks ago but bebe was being shy or stubborn. So cross your fingers for next Tuesday!! I sure am, these black friday deals will kill me if I don't know what it is!

I don't have much cravings that linger longer than a few hours except a darn hot dog. Hot dog you say? Yes, a chicago dog will cure my cravings.. Dad you got any stached? Just one is all I want, I think the baby won't mind, and if it's anything like me it'll love a nice hot chicago dog.

And last but not least, A few days ago I was at school taking a test (yes with my pants that still button)and leaning forward. Well I certainly felt something move inside me where the pants were buttoned. I'm pretty sure it wasn't gas and my Doc said if I feel anything below my belly button it most likely will be the baby. So if in fact it was, I guess I gotta keep those pants unbuttoned. Time to whip out that belly band? Sure why not.

This post kinda sounds like Debbie Downer is typing but I promise it's just the hormones speaking.

H-A-ll-O-W-ee-N spells Halloween

Last weekend we went to our friends Halloween party. It's the time of year where everyone must dress up and play games. We have so much fun together. The special guests who came were Fred and Whilma Flintstone, Pat Benatar and someone from the Rolling Stones, Red riding hood and the Wolf, Rodeo Clowns, Marilyn Monroe and Elvis, Nicki Minaj and Lil' Wayne, Keith Stone form the Keystone beer commercials, Danny and Sandy from Grease, Some pirates, A boy whitch and 20's girl, and some Hobos. Instead of playing movie title sharades like we have the past 2 years, we went for the Newlywed game which turned out to be long but really really funny. We were winning the first round where I wrote the answer down and Brody guessed it. Then it was my turn to say the answers and we totally lost! Oh well.
Then on Monday I was at work and feeling like we needed to have a fun date night. I text Brody and asked if he wanted to go to Thriller and to my surprise he said YES. I was way too excited. After finally finding parking and running to will call we actually made it on time and had a ton of fun! If you haven't seen Thriller at Kingsburry Hall I highly recommend it.
Hope Everyone has a HaPpY HaLlOwEeN!
