Finally an update!

October was a blast! We were Wayne and Garth for Halloween (if you couldn't tell), went to Olive Garden for mom's birthday, carved pumpkins, and dressed up as grave diggers for grandmas shirleys Halloween party. We've had so much fun, the month just flew by. I'll try to update more often.

Well We went to Lagoon for Brody's mom Jana's work party. We had a blast! We ate dinner there with her work and for those of you who don't know she works for Simmons Media which are radio stations such as X96, 101.5 the eagle, and the zone sports station. Well lucky for me I saw Bill and Gina from the x96 morning show and pretty much sat by Todd Nukum. Anywho.. These first pics are of us on the Colossus on our way up and back down. And then on the ride Wicked our car keys fell out of Brody's pocket on the cork screw part. We thought we were going to have to call a lock smith... good thing we found them (pic of Brody by 'Do Not Enter' sign) We also went ice blocking with some friends.

Short and Sweet

Well yes, it has been a while (like I say every post) This is what we have been up to lately.. I got my wisdom teeth out all 4 impacted, having fun with the nephews and missing Jackson and Rylee, Going to Bees games, Betting and winning at the horse races, and mini golfing with Steve. He got a hole-in-one! Go Go Go is what we do best. I will be better at the blog thing in the future. Love you all.

Goodbye old, Hello new. (Read the post under this one too)

Yes, it's true... We said our goodbyes to ole' Grey and decided to become more economical and say hello to Mr. Black. It's a Honda Ridgeline and is actually a really great truck.

New Jersey, New York

What we did while visiting the Wittwer's.. Had a blast meeting Rylee for the first time. Playing Ninja Turtles with Jackson, and eating yummy food from erin!
In New York we... went to Ellis Island, Statue of Liberty, drove Times Square in a stick shift in 5:00 traffic, rode the subway to the Yankees vs. Red Sox game, went to the today show, took a 5 hr tour of NY and saw EVERYHTING then to finish our experience there ended by going to the Jimmy Fallon show. What a super fun vacation all due to Erin and her magnificent planning! Thanks Erin!!

Jimmy Fallon

Brody and I had a blast with the Wittwers and in New York. On this blog I have no pictures but something for you to look at if you have time. We went to Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and for those who don't know him.. he took over Conan O'Brian who is taking over Jay Leno. Anywho you go to http://www.google.com/ and type in late night with jimmy fallon may 6. Click on the 3rd link that says hulu at the begining. Let the video buffer then fast forward the time to 9:50 (Two old ladies will come out of the floor ) Brody and I are on the right, 8 rows up. It's hard to see but there is a lady in turquoise, we are back, left diagnol from her. You can pause the video and search and there's a lot of opportunities to see us because it's the whole old lady section when they are in the audience. Me being on the end then Brody and he has a white shirt on. I am looking at Brody a lot because I was freaking out about Rachel Dratch being there.. She's one of my favorite SNL cast members.
Hope you can take a look and enjoy our 5 seconds on national television. Oh and Jimmy Fallon slapped my hand after the show too, which makes me 4% cooler than what I was before. :)

Jazz fever and softball

My dad got some Jazz tickets and gave them to us. They were great seats! 20 rows up behind the Jazz bench. We had to support our team so we went and bought jerseys. We also got our pic taken by some lady and put them up on the jazz fan website. We're oddly becoming major jazz fans and although they are out of the playoffs, due to Kobe Bryant, we're excited for next season. Brody also joined a mens softball team with some of our friends so I'll post better pics of that when I get them!

Easter, WIcked, Random..

Well where do I start.. We're finished with finals! That's the pic of Brody with his new glasses and all the books we checked out at the library for a paper we had due. We went to Wicked which was wicked awesome! We went 4 wheeling and dyed easter eggs at Brody's grandparents which was a really fun holiday, then we made it back to spend time with my family. The pic. of us in scarfs is.. we have a scooter and love riding it even in the freezing cold, call us crazy, but we just love the open road. One day we'll own a real motor cycle!
In 2 days we're off to the Wittwers! WAHOO!!

Finding something to blog about!

Well I noticed I have been a slacker and haven't updated for like a month and I was going through my phone and found these pictures. 2 are of brody getting a cyst ( I don't know how to spell that) removed from his back. The intern sewing him up was actually one of our friends brothers who lives in vegas but decided to do his intern up here so that was nice seeing him. The next pictures are from a spider bite I got a couple of months ago. Let me tell ya it hurt like crazy.. I was on 2 antibiotis and it had a fever and kept growing and got black and the Doc. said it was a form of staff. EWW. Anywho, I'll have a better post after this Easter weekend where we'll be in Soda Springs Idaho.

P.S. I dont' know how to move these pictures to where they look normal on my page.

GREAT NEWS!!

NO- I am NOT pregnant! Just to clear that up for all you crazie's out there.

Ok here is the good news, Brody and I have decided to go study abroad in China! We are going in June for 2 weeks. We will be going to Beijing to see the Great Wall, Tianamen square, Forbidden city and to see a Kung Fu show. Then we fly to Xian and go to the Foping Natural Reserve where we will stay for a couple of days. For all who don't know what this place is.. it's a giant panda reserve and a golden monkey habitat where we will be interacting with these animals-which I am a little nervous for because we all seem to forget these cute cuddly panda creatures ARE BEARS!
We then are going to see the Terracotta warriors, museums, and Han Emperor's tomb. THEN we fly to Changdu to transfer to another panda reserve. Then we go to Sanxingui/Shanghai and play there for a couple of days then back to SLC.
I have been trying to talk Brody into backpacking through Europe with me this summer and stay at hostiles and stuff but he is so set on taking summer classes. I thought I was Utah bound until our little break to New Jersey. So this was a SHOCK when he wanted to go.
We are also heading to California to visit Stef, John and the gang next week for spring break. We're so excited for our adventures coming!! And on top of that my mom bought us a sweet camcorder for our birthdays last month, we're eager to put it to good use.

Drum Roll Please ddddddddddd.....

Let me explain the bottom pictures first. This is what Uncle Steve made us for Valentine's Day and for my Birthday, he did such a great job on this heart! But he made us wear masks of course and when Brody put his on I was laughing so hard I could barley take the picture!
Well I made my own Birthday cake using of course fondant. I broke down and used store bought and I actually like it a lot better because it's not so sticky! I also bought a new tip for this class I'm going to and I got a little carried away with it on my cake. Also, the color of the frosting was meant to be red but I couldn't get it any darker unless I used up all my coloring. I am for the first time proud of the cake minus the clashing of the colors. Thank you for all supporting me in this! It means a lot and I think I'm getting better and thank you Grandma Shirley for the pans, books, and platter the cake is sitting on.
I love you all and Happy Birthday to me! :)

January blah. February HOORAY!

First and foremost, COUNTDOWN
My Birthday: 9 days (Feb. 10)
Tyler's B-day: 11 days (Feb. 12)
Baby Riley Comes: 11 days (Feb. 12)
Stef's B-day: 12 days (Feb. 13)
Valentines: 13 days (Feb. 14)
Brodys B-day: 18 days (Feb. 19)
and I know Stacy's, Jared's, and Brad's is in there too but can't remember when!
Secondly, my cake. I thought I was off to a good start with a new fondant recipe, homemade buttercreme icing and not destroying the cakes. Guess I was wrong, when I was mixing the color with the fondant, it all went downhill from there. And, well.. you'll see in the pictures but the fondant cracked and didn't want to cooperate.
The superbowl was a blast with yummy food that we stuffed our bellies with. Too bad Cardinals didn't win but it made for a good game eh?
This month we started off with going back to school. We are taking a lot harder classes this semester so hopefully we do as well as we did last semester. Brody is taking 5 and I am only taking 3 which I have all with Brody. Our first is a computer class, thinking it was going to be easy cheese but it's not and our professor looks identical to Jeff Foxworthy but with black hair. Our 2nd class is Geography and our teacher is very funny and always says "shut up and eat your popcorn" and the 3rd is Human Biology and the teacher is stuck on talking about evolution and his Elephant and Alligator hunting trips in Africa. Sheeeesh. Now we're gearing up for our first tests!
Brody's cousin got married and then one of our good friends Kylan got married so both of those weddings were really fun but really long days.
This was my longest blog yet, thatnks for reading! We love you all.

Here's the cake

Brody and the "gang" playing Rockband. They were all groomsmen at our friends wedding that's why their matching.

Brody and I at the Temple for his cousin's wedding.
