Birthday!

Spending my Birthday in Cali. with my family was fun. Although I was missing my main squeeze (Brody) like crazy I was excited to have a whole birthday weekend. Starting Friday ending Sunday. Stef and John were so sweet to bring back some awesome beach bags for my mom and I and she also got me a CUTE dress for the baby and some bows, jewlery, and lots of cards from the boys and Hads. My mom made yummy red velvet cupcakes and gave my some moola. My Dad and Mary did also and so did Brody's grandparents Lee and Gayla, and my Grandma Shirley and Ray. Jana got me Ticket To Ride with an extension pack and made a delicious red velvet cake too! Oh how I love it. Thank you all SO much I really apprecite it!
When I got home Saturday Brody was working so I was sitting patiently alone fighting the urge to snoop for what he got me. FINALLY he got home and I was spoiled rotten. First, he made rails for our stairs that look amazing, gave me flowers, got me a pair of capris and a pair of work pants, 2 necklesses that come with earings, another pair of earings, and a lovely Petunia Picklebottom diaper bag! HOLY MOLY! I was so shocked. For anobody who knows Brody, you know he doesn't like shopping. He said he missed me so much that's why I was spoiled. We ended the night at Red Robin. What a GREAT Birthday! Thank you everyone for making it so special.

Day 4,5, and 6 in Cali.

Day 4 was Phineas and Ferb Day. We decorated with orange and green, played a fun Phin. and Ferb board game, watched some episodes of the show, and did some awesome Dr. Doofinsmurtz experiments. I didn't get any pics of that because Hads wasn't feeling too good so I let her play in the tub for like 45 minutes and she was happy.
The experiments they did included: putting white flowers in food coloring water to see if the petals would change color, put gummy bears in water to see if they got bigger, put one side of a penny on vinegar to see if it changed color, and some others I can't think of. Oh and we got tons of tattoos of all the characters on the show.

Only 1 pic. of the decor I started getting really tired at night when we would do this. My mom did an awesome job doing all the hard work!

Day 5 was Super Mario Brothers Day. We played the game on the Wii, they got S.M.B. dry erase boards, and question mark boxes with chocolate coins inside. I swear we did more stuff but I can't think of it at this moment. :)

Day 6 was learing day. We gave the kids note pads and pens, and a welcome home sign to color for their parents. I think everyone was exhausted by this day. We did decorate but as you've noticed my energy level was on super low and my pictures weren't that great.

We had such a fun time being with the kids for a whole week. They're SO much fun and full of non stop energy. I got a taste of what's to come my way in T-minus 10 weeks. I don't know how you do it alone in the day Stef and Erin! You guys are awesome.

Day 3 in Cali.

Today was Star Wars day. The boys were really excited. Hadley loved the hanging streamers and balloons. She would always want to go through them and touch them. When she got a balloon in her hand she was entertained for 45 minutes. Today we watched Clone Wars, pinned the ear on Yoda, colored in clone Wars coloring books, and learned about the planets. The boys chose to wear their Star Wars shirts that day.
This was also the day Hadley started to not feel so well :(

Awesome shirts!

Day 2 in Cali.

On Sunday was the Superbowl. So on Saturday we went to the grocery store and the kids each picked a couple treats they wanted for that day. Sunday was great weather so we had a picnic at the park and then got ready for the big game.
The kids helped us decorate with the team logos and helments. My mom made a football toss and the boys got their own little footballs to throw.
McCord thought the first couple of commercials were SO funny. The one where the cheeta is going to race the car but chases the guy instead and also the Vampire whos headlights were too bright it turned him and his friends to dust. He wasn't too fond of the half time show and thought it was "lame". I thought it rocked! and he really wanted to Giants to win!
Even though it was hard to watch the game we had a lot of fun with them and Cord kept asking what the score was. He was happy his team won. (sorry about your "lame" Pats. Dad)

Day 1 in Cali.

My mom and I came up with the idea of having theme days each day we were there. So we kicked it off with Pirates and decorated every night so when the kids would wake up they had something to look forward too. When Dane first came downstairs and saw the decorations this is what happened:
Dane: "Who's Birthday is it?"
Mom and I: "It's no ones Birthday, we just wanted to have a fun pirate day and celebrate pirates"
Dane: "So it's Captain Jack's Birthday."
He's the funniest kid ever.

On this day we watched Pirates of the Caribbean, ate yummy pizza, made key chains for the locks to their treasure boxes, got Captain Jack tatoos, and ended the night with the treasure hunt.

Reading their clues to the treasure. Notice Dane put his key chain into his bandana. When he got his treasure he asked where his key was.
