St. George

A couple weekends ago we headed down to St. George to see The Little Mermaid and Grease at Tuacahn. They were fun plays to watch although Grease totally took the cake over The Little Mermaid.
We also got to watch Jackson's soccer game, have a little baby shower for Erin, and celebrate Zach's Birthday.
It was a great little get-away vacation!

We love Joyce and Jenny!

Cat's out of the bag

Hello fellow readers,
Yep.. It's true.. I'm that precious "P" word. P.H.A.T. :) Just kidding. PREGNANT hahaha (nervous laugh). I didn't know I was until about 4 1/2 weeks into it. No signs, no symptoms until a week or so later it hit me like a punch to the stomach. I went to the doctor when I was at 7 weeks and was able to see the bebe and hear the heartbeat (which made this all more real).I am now 9 weeks to the day (almost out of this 1st trimester!) and it is taking a toll on me. Here are some of the problems I am experiencing:

1. I can't sleep through the night because I have to PEE every 20 minutes.
2. Every single item of food sounds discusting.
3. If I don't eat every 3 to 4 hours, I get so hungry it's like I've NEVER eaten food before. So when I eat food, I can only have a little because I get full fast. It's a vicious cycle.
4. I'm more tired now then when I had Mono.
5. I have weird breakdowns and start to cry. For example, I felt so bad I couldn't cook Brody dinner one day and I cried like a baby and couldn't stop (at least it wasn't over brownies or jedi training :) ).
6. Our house is messy cuz all I want to do is NOTHING.
7. I can't go to the grocey store without smelling something awful.
8. What the heck is morning sickness? I have night sickness.
9. On a good note, I've only thrown up once and I wasn't even nauseated. So I guess it just comes and goes when it pleases.

I'm looking forward to the 2nd trimester to HOPEFULLY loose some of these habits I've developed.

We told our parents and siblings 2 weekends ago. I made copies of the ultrasound and put some plastic over it then painted some metalic stuff on it so it was a scratch off card (like a lottery ticket). We told them it was a promo for my work and they believed us :). My mom went first and she couldn't quit smiling, she was so happy.
Then we went to my Dad's and at first when he was scratching it he said "oh, I won a gun" I guess something in the photo looked like a gun haha. Then he scratch a little more and came and put the picture up to my belly. It was really cute. Last stop was Jana's and when she was scratching she got this look on her face and couldn't believe it. She started crying she was SO happy, which made me cry. This will be her first grandkid. Brody's brothers were really excited too.
We sent those to McCord, Dane, Jack, and Rylee and Stef and Erin called and couldn't believe it either.
We're excited and nervous so wish us luck on this new journey. I'm going to keep this blog updated with the prego stuff so stay tuned for more.

Had to take 4 to believe it

Snowbird

Like clock work it was that time again for the condo at snowbird to be available. So the whole family went up on Sunday to celebrate grandma Shirley's 75th Birthday! The scenery is so pretty up there and Oktoberfest is going on so you can always expect to spot a drunk or two. Suzanne made yummy chicken tacos, Diane made delicious truffles, and Mona made a great Phillipino dessert.
My weekends are just great and can't get any better. Thanks family!

"Perfectly Perfect"

My Dad and Mary were able to get us tickets to Mary Poppins at the capitol theatre last week. The play was entertaining, a lot different then the movie, and Mary Poppins just just "Perfectly Perfect"--or so the song says...Me and Brody liked it a lot! Our friends Jesse and Kayla were able to come too and used some extra tickets my Dad and Mary had. Thanks for the fun weekend!

Guess who's 90?!

This guy! Happy Birthday Grandpa!

Eventful Weekend

Last weekend was so much fun, it was almost too much fun! Erin invited us to come to St. George and go boating and to the cabin with them. It was just going to be me going because my mom and Brody couldn't get off work so I invited Suzanne to go. Then at the last minute my mom and Brody were able to come.
We headed down on Friday afternoon and when we got there we couldn't believe how hot it was there. We were standing at Erin's front door FOREVER ringing her doorbell that she couldn't hear because she was downstairs. I think we were on the verge of passing out, when someone had the brilliant idea to call her and then we were saved.
The next day we went to Gunlock reservoir with Erin, Tyler, Jack, and Ry, and Tyler's brother Jordan and his date Brooklyn. We had so much fun on the lake! Tyler did some awesome flips on the wakeboard he almost landed, Brody wakeboarded for the 1st time in years and did really good and was catching some air. Jackson and Rylee even got on the wakeboard with Tyler and did it. Then it was time for tubing. Me and Suzanne went first and she was screaming and yelling so much I was laughing so hard I almost fell off so many times. She's petrified of the fish in the lake so she was holding on for dear life! When she couldn't hold on any longer she said "goodbye Jessica, I can't hold on, goodbye" and fell into the water. She said it so mad because Tyler was going to fast. HAHA it was really funny. Then me and Brody went tubing and I've never held onto something so tight before. Just looking at the water as were were being whipped around I knew it was going to KILL to fall off. Good thing brody was there to save me from falling multiple times.
We went to the cabin that night (i don't have pics) and rode 4 wheelers and ate a yummy dinner prepared by Tylers mom.
On our way home Sunday it was a down pour. We could barly see in front of us then all of a sudden I see this truck rolling and shouted it. Brody pulled over, put on the flashers and ran towards the truck (in the grassy median) when he got there the truck was on its side and totally smashed in. The people were stuck inside so he had to tear off the sun roof to get them out. Meanwhile my mom was calling the police. The people were really shakin up, drenched, and very muddy. There were only 2 people which is a good thing because the back seat was crunched so much someone would have been very hurt. Thank goodness they were ok. There were about 6 other cars that pulled over to help, I gave them our beach towls to stay warm and get dry and the man and woman and little dog went and sat in a big suburban and waited for the police so we left. It was raining like crazy and we were all soaked to the bone. It looked like we jumped into a swimming pool, we eventually had to exit and change our clothes.
Geez what a weekend! There's tons of pics too. Hope everybodys last days of summer are full of fun!

Happy Birthday!

Last weekend we made our way up to Brody's grandparents home in Idaho to celebrate both his brothers- Brock and Brayden, and his grandma Gayla's Birthday. We went to the Mud Boggs, ate yummy stake dinner, had red velvet cupcakes for dessert, stood barefoot in the coldest water I've ever experienced touching, it was burning my feet, like a brain freeze but 10x's worse and in my feet, and went 4-wheeling in prime Squatch country (Sashquatch)- yes I was a little nervous becasue on one episode of "Finding Bigfoot" there were eye witnesses that were 4 wheeling and were chased by a Squatch. They went fast and we were going slow because it was a really rocky trail, that's why I was nervous... Anyway, pardon my tangent.
The weekend was fun (minus Brody getting really sick)-He's almost better now.
